Have I ever mentioned that I love shoes?

Because I do! Seriously, I love shoes.  And no I’m not talking Manolos and Jimmy Choo’s I’m talking about shoes I can actually afford–which means they usually come from one of three places: Aldo, Marshalls & DSW.

It wasn’t until around 2002 when I got an internship at the statehouse that my love of shoes really came out in full force. I mean, before that my shoes were dr. martens and my heels consisted of tragically clunky things I put on for proms.  When I went off to college my shoes basically needed to get me through multiple feet of snow and lots and lots of mud. It wasn’t until I got this internship where all of a sudden I was expected to not look like a total slob.  Off to the mall I went with credit cards in hand to pick up some nice clothes…and it didn’t take too long to realize that my crap sneakers and docs weren’t going to cut it either…and so I started buying shoes…lots of them.

I love sneakers, and flip flops but its heels that make me squeal a little inside (and if they are really really cute I have been known to squeal out loud too).  I don’t quite know why, I mean let’s be honest…they are rarely comfortable! But, I am willing to put up a little discomfort (although I really draw the line at anything that will give me a blister) for a cute pair of shoes…

Why am I boring you(whoever you are) with all this?  Because I woke up WAY earlier than I usually do and started thinking about my shoes–and, (no I have NO IDEA why I was thinking about my shoes this morning)–I got to thinking that I have too many shoes that don’t get enough love.

So I have embarked on a mission-I’m officially pulling all my shoes out of the depths of the closets they have been relegated to recently and I’m wearing them!  If the shoes have a good story I’ll tell you all about it…if not…I’ll bore you with random ramblings. I’ll take a picture to document my shoes of the day. (it’ll be a nice way to get back to Flickr too!)
